Readers Talk Back — July 21

POSTED: July 21, 2010

I think the person who designed the curbing out by the courthouse must be the same one that designed the water drainage on main street.

  • A terrible design for South Superior St. with two lanes merging into one, and a curb on both sides. How are you going to pull over if an emergency vehicle comes behind you.

The newly painted winners circle sign at the race track looks so much better. Thank you to those people who volunteered to paint it before the 100 Years race. Great job.

  • Is the city going to spray for mosquitoes? You can't walk outside without getting "ate up."

The tough issues for Obama should have been jobs and the ecomomy not his unwanted Obamacare and failed stimuli. So we have the party of "no" to save our country for our children and grandchildren.

  • I?wonder how many people who complain about negative things going on in town actually show up to volunteer with community events or when help is needed? Try to be part of the solution.

I'm so glad to read that someone besides myself also thinks that the design of our new south Superior intersection is poor. I've thought also of "Why would you try to move 2 lane traffic down into one lane?" This is going to be nothing more than a bottleneck of destruction. Bet the plows are going to love those mediums come snow removal time this coming winter. A few hits with the snow blades ought to take care of them in record time. Won't they be looking real good by Spring with all the missing concrete? LOL
