BLAIRSBURG - Northeast Hamilton Family and Consumer Science Club members and community volunteers met Wednesday to sew pillowcase dresses for the Dress A Girl Around the World project.

The dresses will be sent to girls in the earthquake- devastated country of Haiti. The group has sewn more than 50 dresses so far, according to FCS instructor and project organizer Kathy Thelke.

Another dressmaking session will take place on at 3:30 p.m. March 30 in the high school FCS classroom with a target goal of creating 100 more dresses to ship to Haiti.
