Register now for farm lease workshop
Learn about the latest information on farmland leasing at a three-hour interactive workshop that will take place on Tuesday, August 12th, beginning at 9 am. The location is the Hamilton County Extension Office in Webster City located at 311 Bank Street. Facilitating the program will be Kelvin Leibold, ISU Extension Farm Management Field Specialist for North Central Iowa. A highlight of this workshop will be the latest 2008 cash rental rate survey results. These rates are noted for all Iowa's counties and are the results of a survey of farmers, landowners, lenders, real estate brokers, and professional farm managers collected in March 2008. Flexible leases will also be presented at most of these workshops as an alternative to a cash rent lease. Crop production costs, grain prices and maintaining soil fertility will be stressed at these workshops. The registration cost for this interactive workshop is $20 per individual or $30 per couple.
